Friday Running Tune – Rancid

I was hoping to run 12K last weekend, but instead I ended up working hard all day Sunday warding off a migraine. It never did grab a hold of me, but all of my energy was spent fighting it and I had nothing left by the end of the day.

This Sunday I will make up for it and I am going to repeat the 15K that I did two weeks ago, though I will try to do it a little bit faster. One of my most favourite songs when I’m close to the end of a long run is Rancid’s Ruby Soho. It always makes me run faster and happier, and even sprint to the end. Phew!

What are you running this weekend, and what are you listening to?

Happy Trails!

  1. These days I’m off the tunes during my runs and I’m all about audio books! I have now just finished my fifth one and I love them. They take my mind off the hard part of the run and really allow me to relax and be entertained. I highly recommend it, especially for the long runs.

    Hi Liisa,
I love the idea of books on tape – something to keep the mind well occupied. I looked at getting from the library, but it seems to be a lot of trouble to get them onto my ipod. Do you buy your audio books, or are you more technologically inclined that I am?

The eighty-year-old in me can’t help thinking “why do they have to call themselves Rancid? Do they think it makes them cool? It’s really quite off-putting. Why can’t they call themselves something nice like the Purple Pansies?” Also, get off my damned lawn.

Have I given you my list yet? I mean to, every time you post this question. And I mean to blog it. I haven’t blogged it, and I’m too damn lazy to go check and see what I commented on your last post :P. But I’ll go blog it. Finally.
