Good Luck to Nano People and Welcome to my New Space

By now I believe that all the servers should have caught up with my new domain name, and so you should be able to get here by typing in www.finola.ca

Yay!

Also, I just want to give a shout out to all those participating in National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo) and National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). Bad acronyms aside, these are awesome events and I loved posting every day last November. This year I’m feeling too tired and busy, but I want to cheer you on. Please drop me a line and let me know if you are blogging all month so that I can follow you. So far I know that these lovely bloggers are in:

Martinis for Breakfast

Riding in a Handbasket

View From the Glen

Bibliomama

Gliding Through Motherhood

Keep Your Head Up

Not Just About Cancer

Two Hands Full

Blissful Domesticity

Teachable Moments

And also Zoom is doing a novel filled with blog posts (love this idea!), and I’m wondering whether A Winding Path is writing a novel this year too??

Who else? Please let me know.

And now that I have a post wrapped up for Day 1, I’m tempted to keep on going. I’m going to give this just a little more thought. Stay tuned…

Hey Finola! Thanks for the shout-out (and for your positive energy!). Loving your new space! Can’t wait to watch it grow!

  2. Okay – I’m in. I wasn’t going to, but somehow seeing View From The Glen up there on your blog gave me the push I need.

And to think I was on the verge of throwing in the whole blogging thing. Thanks, Finola, for giving me the motiviation to give it another whirl.

  3. zoom says:

It’s too early in the morning for me to think of anything to say, and I have birds climbing all over me and Oboe is doing his mating dance on my keyboard…but I just wanted to say hi Finola!

  4. Finola says:

Hi Zoom! I always love the images of you and your birds!!

  5. Chantal says:

I’m in for NaBloPoMo too. So far so good. Although last night I posted at the last minute (already on day 3 🙂 )

  6. Sasha says:

Damn – someone’s already doing the blog-novel idea? Oh well. I suppose there’s still room in that space 🙂

  7. Samantha says:

I’m in too! I’ve planned about 10 days worth of blog posts… here’s hoping I can come up with stuff for 20 more! 🙂

    • Finola says:

Hi Samantha! I added you to my list. If you already have 10 posts planned out, you can totally do 20 more. I found keeping a notebook with me all the time last year helped a lot. Best of luck!

  8. Marianne says:

I’m in too. No idea where I’ll find 30 ideas, but excited to see where it leads me.

Also, I like the new space.

  9. Finola says:

Hi Marianne! It is exciting and I am happy to follow along as you go. Good luck!
And thanks for the comment on the new space. I still have things I want to do, but already I am liking wordpress a lot.

  10. Pam says:

    Hi Finola,
I’m attempting the NaBloPoMo thing again this year. I found it to be great for creativity last year (with a few lame posts thrown in too). Who knows where it will take me this year but I’m a woman in need of deadlines and it fits. Like your new domain and looking forward to reading more of your blog.

  11. jenny gee says:

Thanks for the shout out, Fin. Unfortunately, the novel writing is slow again this year. I just broke the word count that I should have had on my first day. *sigh* 😉 Maybe I should try NaBloPoMo next year instead? 😉

Lovely new space – glad to read more of your posts again!
