N’s First Blog Post at Age 8: The Family 2K
The Family 2K finally arrived. I felt great. I ran in Cowtopia.
Me: What does that mean?
We were surrounded by a whole bunch of 10-year-old girls ringing cowbells. Cowbells were everywhere: on headbands, on coats, and on socks. Finishing the 2K felt great. Next year we should run with cowbells. I ran the whole way. I was not tired. And that’s all.

It was so much fun. When I first started the race I felt really good. But I didn’t run the whole way. I ran and walked. And I looked at all the pretty plants along the way….there was….in people’s gardens. Our plant reminded me about the people’s plants. There was a sprinkler on the way and it cooled me really right down. When I finished I was very proud of myself. And the medals they weren’t normal medals they were hand made and the inside of the medal was made of coconut. And we’re going to do it again next year. Bye! Au revoir! See you soon!
Great first posts!
We did the 2K too! It was awesome, I loved it. We are definitely in for next year. The medals were super cool, although our three managed to break theirs within about three minutes of getting them. But they were easily sated with free juice!
I love this idea of getting the kids to blog, I'm going to try it too someday.
How did your own run go?
Capital Mom, Thank you 🙂
Lynn, It is so much fun, isn't it?
My own run went well, and I was very happy at the end.
I'll look forward to hearing some words from your kids too!
