I have known for a while that finola dot com was a domain name that was already in use. Finola is a company based in Finland (Fin) that produces hempseed oils (-ola like canola) and it’s the first thing that comes up when I Google my own name. This actually did come up in a job interview one time if you can believe it. The job involved the regulating of hemp manufacturing companies, and I was asked if I knew that my name was also a hemp oil. Why, yes, I did in fact know that. I stupidly went on to say that the manufacturers would probably like me because of my name, and I would fit right into the job… lucky for me I was still offered the job despite my nervous sense of humour that day.
All this to say that I really wish that I could have had finola dot com. And what business does a company from Finland have using my good Irish name anyway?
If there was only one Finola on this great Earth of ours, you would be her. A perfect name for the most lovely of Finolas 😉
I inclination not acquiesce in on it. I think warm-hearted post. Expressly the appellation attracted me to study the sound story.
It is a nice name! Very memorable.
What about registering finola.ca?
Or fino.la ?
Andrea beat me to it — was going to suggest finola.ca. I took danigirl.ca because .com wasn't available, but I've grown to love the Canadian spin on it!
My web advisor (i.e. hubby said there would be more hoops to jump through to use finola.ca in Google, but now I'm thinking it may be worth it in the long run. Thanks for the thought.
Opulently I assent to but I dream the post should secure more info then it has.
